Welcome to a very special edition of the TalkThrough podcast, our weekly show where we chat about the games we’re playing. Well, we released our first episode of the show last Friday, and we’ll release episode two — all about the Switch 2 — next week. But this week we have something a little bit different.
Jeff sat this one out so I could chat with Destiny 2 YouTuber Skarrow9. The two of us — along with several other Destiny 2 creators — attended a special preview event in May at Bungie HQ in Bellevue, Washington, for the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion. We were able to play several hours of the expansion’s campaign content, and got a good feel for all the new metroidvania abilities that are exclusive to the Kepler destination. But we were also able to check out the massive changes coming to the base game of Destiny 2, including the Portal, Armor 3.0, Tier 5 weapons, and more.
In this week’s bonus episode of the podcast, Skarrow9 and I go over the changes and our thoughts about them. But my favorite part of the show is that my actual Destiny 2 Fireteam (who go by Jango and Liquid) sat in so they could ask us any questions that came to mind during the conversation. The result is a show that’s packed with information. I hope you enjoy it.
